yArt Sale Information

yArt Sale
When? Saturday, December 5, 2009
Where? a house near the "Milk" district, (around Bumby and Robinson), Orlando
Time? 9 am to 5 pm
What is it? A yard sale selling affordable arts, crafts, and other oddities, by local residents and artisans, to benefit comedy group Night of the Nightwolf’s production for the Fringe Festival.
Who will participate? Artists and Friends of Night of the Nightwolf (to be determined by the group). The participants will set up booths at the yard sale to sell their wares. 10% of the day’s profits will be given to Night of the Nightwolf.
Who are these "night of the nightwolf people"? A great local comedy group. you may have seen them at stardust at one of their performances, but if you missed it, here's their website:
www.nightofthenightwolf.com
As a participant, what is expected of me? That we know what type of artwork you will be selling beforehand (I’m thinking of keeping it fairly family-friendly), that you accept cash only, and the 10% of your day’s earnings be given over to Nightwolf on the same day. If you really enjoyed the event and really like Nightwolf, we will gladly accept any additional donations you may wish to give. In addition, artists will be responsible for manning their booths at all times and will supply their own tables, chairs, etc. This is a family-friendly event: we ask that no alcohol or drugs be on premises and that the artist conducts themselves in a professional manner.
How do I sign up? Please send an email and photos of your work or your website to Emily Neale Doyle, at
endphoto@gmail.com. We are hoping to accommodate all artists, space permitting, but we will confirm with you by early November.
Will there be other cool stuff there? Yes. Food, drinks (non-alcoholic), possibly live entertainment (acoustic), and a booth where you can meet the comedy group themselves, and if you feel so moved, donate directly to them to help show your support.
Where will this be advertised? Everywhere we can, through member’s facebook, twitter, myspace, local Orlando blogs and websites, etc. Any ideas to help promote are welcome.
